Elvin Sheykani, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), substance use, and serious mental illness. He takes a humanistic approach to care, integrating third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions to help patients move toward their ideal selves.
Dr. Sheykani previously served as a staff psychologist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where he specialized in evidence-based treatments for combat trauma as well as trauma responses stemming from adverse childhood experiences, including emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. In his current role at Camden, he primarily focuses on OCD and exposure related therapies targeting safety behaviors.
